Amber Lucille

Amber has been playing guitar and writing songs since her early teens. Her smoky voice and poignant lyrics create an atmosphere of shared love and longing in audiences in clubs, at festivals and even inside the "Walls" at Huntsville State Prison.

She started out in the Houston folk scene performing regularly through the early 90's. In the late 90's, she moved to Austin, playing and singing in various music projects until focusing on her hard rock duo, Full Stride, which performed in the Red River District and throughout Texas and the western United States. In addition to guitar,
Amber also honed her skills on bass guitar and drums.

In early 2008, Amber returned to her roots, with her namesake band, Amber Lucille. She wants to spread hope and encouragement with her original music, much of which has been released on her self-titled EP, "Amber Lucille," and her full-length CD, "All the Beauty and the Love," co-produced by Omar Vallejo and released in summer 2010
and her new full length effort, "Love That Never Ends" that was released in the Spring of 2012 at The Continental Club in Austin, TX. It was recorded, engineered and co-produced by Tim "Tank" Casterline at Wonderland Studios, Austin TX

The solid band line-up includes Amber Lucille on bass, guitar and vocals,  Wayne Steagall on drums and Rob Abasolo on Lead Guitar. All the band members write and sing their own music, as well as offering backup and sweet harmonies to Amber's songs. Amber Lucille has opened for, or shared the stage with Kevin Fowler, Seth James, Billy Joe Shaver, The Mother Truckers, Micky and the Motorcars, James Otto, Vallejo and Rosehill to name a few...
